Talk, listen, respond

It’s never too early to chat to your baby.

Your baby starts trying to communicate with you from day one. You can practice this together to build your bond and help them develop. Try to do it at least 5 times a day.

Just remember: Talk, listen, respond.

Talk: Speaking, singing, or pulling faces are fun ways to engage your baby.

Listen: When your stop speaking or singing, what does your baby do? Cooing, gurgling, and moving are their way of communicating with you.

Respond: Copy your baby’s noises and expressions. Smile and speak back to show them they’ve done a good thing.

Good to know

This will help your baby learn new words, which will help them to be strong communicators.
