Peek-a-boo story

There are lots of children’s books out there that let babies play and learn at the same time.

See if you can find picture books that have flaps in them. You might find these in your local library if you don’t have any at home.

Find a quiet time to sit with your baby and look at the book together.

Read the story and encourage them to lift the flaps to find out what happens. You might need to show them how to do this at first.

You’ll have fun playing peek-a-book with the things in the book.

Good to know

The more stories you read, the more words your baby will hear. This will help them learn to talk.
